How Our Online Addiction Treatment Program Works

Getting help for alcohol or opioid addiction shouldn’t be complicated or intimidating.
At Bayani Health, our online addiction treatment program is designed to be simple, private, and supportive — from the very first step.

How It Works

Step 1. Complete our intake form.

Begin by completing our confidential online intake form. You can do this at your own pace, from home, using your phone or computer. This form helps our physicians understand:

  • What you’re struggling with
  • Your medical history
  • Your goals for treatment

Step 2: Meet our addiction medicine specialist physician

You’ll have a secure video visit with our licensed, board-certified addiction medicine physician, who has extensive experience in addiction treatment.

During this visit, your doctor will:

  • Listen to your concerns
  • Review your medical history
  • Answer your questions
  • Discuss treatment options

If our physician believes an in-person appointment would be most beneficial for you, we will schedule this at your earliest convenience.

This care model is part of our broader approach to online addiction treatment.

Step 3. Receive a personalized treatment plan

If online addiction treatment is appropriate for you, your physician will create a personalized treatment plan. This may include:

  • Evidence-based medications for alcohol or opioid use disorder
  • Medical monitoring and follow-up
  • Support for cravings, withdrawal, and stability

Treatment decisions are made collaboratively — you are always part of the conversation.

Step 4. Ongoing online care and follow-up

Recovery is not a one-time visit. Ongoing care is an important part of successful treatment.

You’ll have regular virtual follow-ups to:

  • Monitor progress
  • Adjust medications if needed
  • Address challenges as they arise
  • Support long-term recovery

You'll also have ongoing direct access to our treatment team. No waiting for days until someone responds. Care continues in a way that fits your life.

Support beyond medication

In addition to medical treatment, Bayani Health may offer guidance on:

  • Plant-focused nutrition to support physical and mental health
  • Customized exercise prescriptions to improve strength, mood, and recovery

These supports are offered as part of whole-person care and are never a replacement for medical treatment.

What to Expect When Starting Treatment

Starting treatment can feel uncertain — especially if you’ve tried to stop before.

While everyone’s experience is different, many patients find the first few weeks to be a period of adjustment and stabilization.

Beginning Buprenorphine Treatment

When starting buprenorphine treatment for opioid use disorder, many patients may notice:

  • Reduced cravings
  • Improved stability
  • Fewer highs and lows throughout the day

It’s also common to experience an adjustment period as your body responds to treatment. Your physician will guide treatment decisions, monitor how you’re feeling, answer questions, and make changes as needed throughout your treatment.

The goal is to help you feel more balanced, functional, and supported — not sedated or disconnected.

Beginning Treatment for Alcohol Use Disorder

When beginning medical treatment for alcohol use disorder, some patients may notice:

  • Reduced urge to drink
  • Less preoccupation with alcohol
  • Changes in how alcohol affects them, if they do drink

As with any medical treatment, responses vary. Your physician will guide treatment decisions and work with you to find an approach that feels manageable and supportive, while monitoring both physical and emotional well-being.

Ongoing Support Matters

At Bayani Health, your treatment journey is not something you'll navigate alone. Regular follow-up visits allow your physician to:

  • Check in on how you’re feeling
  • Adjust treatment if needed
  • Address concerns or side effects
  • Support steady progress over time

Many patients find that having consistent medical support during the early weeks makes treatment feel safer and more sustainable.

Many common concerns are answered in our treatment FAQ.

Private, Secure, and Respectful

All visits are conducted using secure telehealth technology. Your information is kept confidential, and your care is handled with dignity and respect.

Many people choose online addiction treatment because it allows them to get help without stigma, travel, or disruption to daily life.

If you're ready to explore care, please reach out to us to schedule your initial consultation to start treatment.
