Get to know our practice by reviewing some of the most frequently asked questions below. You can also contact us at hello@bayanihealth.com if you can't find an answer to your question.
No. We do not participate with any insurance plans or other third party payors. We believe that offering patients the specific and individualized treatments and services they need, bundled into a cash-pay, affordable flat fee, allows us to provide the highest quality, individualized care to our patients without the interference, delays, and denials that come with insurance company bureaucracy.
At the same time, because the practice is relieved of the non-medical, administrative burdens imposed by health plans, overhead is reduced significantly, and we can pass those savings on to our patients in the form of lower fees. Our patients often find that with our cash-pay model, they save money and receive better, more responsive and personalized care than is possible through insurance.
Because we get paid directly by you, we don't answer to the cost-cutting whims of the insurance companies whose main duty is to their shareholders. Our only loyalty is to you, our patient. Bayani gives you more personalized care and extended, relaxed clinical visits with our specialist physicians. You'll also have full access to our team via telephone, secure text messaging, or secure messaging through your Patient Portal if you have non-emergency questions. You'll benefit from a closer doctor-patient relationship, while receiving excellent care.
Our practice is based on three-month, cash-pay, all-inclusive treatment sessions. We individualize your care to include your specifically identified treatments and services into one flat fee. After making the decision to join the practice, you'll pay a one-time enrollment fee for which you'll receive a comprehensive, individualized health assessment; at that time, we'll also discuss your needs and develop a treatment plan for your three-month session. The cost of your three-month session includes your telehealth consultations and follow-ups as needed, a customized nutrition plan, individualized exercise prescription, a stress management program, prescriptions for medication-assisted treatment if appropriate, and direct access to our team via telephone, secure text messaging, or secure messaging through your Patient Portal. It’s that simple. There are no co-pays and no per-visit charges. There's also no long-term commitment; if you find that our practice is not fitting your needs, you can cancel anytime by providing us with written notice of cancellation.
No. Bayani Health & Wellness is not an insurance plan and not a substitute for health insurance or other health plan coverage. The session fees cover ONLY the services described in the How We Can Help You section of our homepage.
No. Although we ARE trained in primary care, we are not your primary care doctors. We are treating you within the narrow scope of lifestyle medicine and addiction medicine, and our role is strictly limited to these areas. It is important that you establish or maintain an ongoing relationship with a trusted primary care physician for your primary care needs. Our lifestyle medicine approach can work hand-in-hand with the medications your primary care provider prescribes in order to achieve your best health, so at your request we are happy to communicate with your primary care provider regarding your care at Bayani.
If you are experiencing an urgent medical condition, please contact your local urgent care or your primary care provider. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1. Please do not delay care by contacting our office or waiting for an appointment.
